Engen solvents are liquids derived from crude oil which have the ability to dissolve, dilute, suspend or extract other materials. They make it possible to process, apply, clean and separate materials. Engen Chemicals produces and markets a wide range of hydrocarbon solvents for commodity and specialised end usages. These solvents vary in drying speed, boiling range and solvency power and find uses in the rubber, paint, adhesive, ink, plastic, oil extraction, mining, insecticide, tobacco and cleaning industries. The solvents marketed by Engen Chemicals can be classified into three groups.
