Paraffin Safety

As the largest distributor of paraffin to communities across South Africa, paraffin safety is of particular relevance and importance to Engen. The company is working alongside the Paraffin Safety Association of Southern Africa (PSASA) to ensure the safe use of paraffin.

Engen supports efforts to reduce paraffin related accidents through education and awareness campaigns in rural and informal settlements - the areas where help is most needed.

In the past, Engen's awareness campaigns on the safe use and storage of paraffin have targeted fire prevention. Future campaigns will target the prevention of paraffin ingestion by children.
