Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge Debuts In Nelson Mandela Bay

The much-acclaimed Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge makes its debut on the windy shores of Hobie Beach at the annual Splash Festival in Nelson Mandela Bay on Sunday 12 April, 2009. Entries have now opened and prospective participants can either register for the 102km or the 47km route online at www.cyclelab.com or enter at selected Engen Forecourts in Port Elizabeth.

Registration fees for the long route is R100 and R80 for the short route and closing date for pre entry is Sunday, 05 April 2009. Both fun riders and professional cyclists are encouraged to enter, with prize monies to the total value of R 30 000. Spot prize give aways are also up for grabs on the day of the event, and supporters can also visit the Engen water point on the race route for extra fun and entertainment.

In celebration of the inaugural event, a number of incentives for entering early have been put in place: the first 50 entries will receive a limited edition Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge t-shirt along with a year subscription of Bicycling magazine. Also, applicants that enter at any of the selected Engen Forecourts (see list below) stand a chance to win one of 16 Engen cycling kits.
