Engen strives to be a caring and responsible corporate citizen. As such, we support deserving initiatives that endeavour to enhance people's lives in meaningful ways on an ad hoc basis.Press Releases
The following initiatives are supported:
Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation
Engen provides financial support for the paediatric rehabilitation sections of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital. Similar support of the KwaZulu-Natal Children’s Hospital is planned going forward.
Dealer Community Partnership Programme (DCPP)
DCPP is a partnership between Engen and service station dealers, which contributes to the development of disadvantaged communities through the funding of specific initiatives in order to uplift, educate and support disadvantaged communities in the areas around Engen service stations.
Employee Community Partnership Programme (ECPP)
ECPP helps create meaningful partnerships with Engen employees who are involved in community upliftment initiatives. Engen supports the efforts where employees contribute sweat equity in the development of their communities by providing financial and other support for relevant projects and activities in order to foster a caring company ethos.
Regional outreach programmes
Adhoc support is given to initiatives that endeavour to uplift impoverished communities. For example, Blind Buddies, in which stickers are sold to Engen staff in support of the visually impaired.
